Howdy! I'm Jennifer Day (Jen), Founder and Principal of Dayglow Strategies.
I started my career as an accidental solo Salesforce Admin at a small nonprofit; the person who got handed "the database" because someone had to figure it out.
Our implementation with our consulting partner ran over budget and behind schedule, so I threw myself into learning the platform. The deeper I went, the more my role expanded — bookkeeping, constituent services, volunteer coordination, fundraising, and program development. I had to understand every corner of the organization to design a system that could support it.
Sixteen years in the Salesforce ecosystem later, I've seen that same initial pattern over and over. A smaller organization invests in Salesforce, works with a firm focused on billable hours and deliverable checklists, and ends up with a system that technically works but nobody truly adopts. The consultant moves on. The team is left holding something they can't confidently manage, modify, or grow with.
That's not how I roll.
Whether you're implementing Salesforce for the first time, recovering from a rough start, or ready to expand what you've built, my focus is to ensure you understand what you have, why it works that way, and how to own it going forward.
Strategy before configuration. Designing for where you're headed, not just where you are. Documentation you can actually rely on. Coaching that builds competency, not dependency.
Salesforce isn't just tech. It's a digital operations hub of people, process, and systems working together, and I can help your organization get all three aligned.

Dayglow Values
As a strategist and historian, I am acutely aware of being part of larger systems. The personal values that guide my passions and actions in life are: collective responsibility, integrity, and exploration.
I approach my consulting practice through the lens of Dr. Barbara Love's principles of liberatory consciousness. I believe that meaningful work requires awareness, analysis, action, and accountability/allyship —both individually and systemically.
I recognize that true equity requires ongoing transformation, just like the systems I help improve.
My business decisions and consulting approaches seek to challenge existing inequities and grow community by:
Aligning my values with my actions, partnerships, and client selection
Prioritizing transparency and accountability in all things
Examining how my business practices impact communities beyond my immediate clients
Redirecting resources to historically excluded communities through equitable pricing
Building coalitions with other justice-oriented individuals and organizations
